The “IT for Innovative Services” (ITIS) department, with its 110 researchers and engineers, focuses on the digital transformation of operations occurring in organizations within traditional environments and digital ecosystems with the aim of improving their performance and innovation capacity. ITIS's common thread is to develop the most efficient use of big data to ensure the most appropriate decision-making process.

The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is willing to strengthen its competences in Blockchain technologies, Smart Contracts and their use inside various fields of application, like finance, smart cities, transportation or health.

As a consequence, LIST is appointing a Research Engineer to join the “Trusted Service Supply Chains” Group, TSSC, that performs research and development activities focused on trusted, secured and privacy ensured infrastructures. TSSC is part of the “Trusted Service Systems” Unit within the “IT for Innovative Services” (ITIS) Department of LIST.

What you will be doing

In this context; the Security, Computer Science Research Engineer will mainly joining a team working in projects related to Block Chain technologies within a Security and Privacy research group. The candidate will mainly participate in the design and security analysis of blockchain technologies as well as in the development of software solutions associated to this new technology.

You will be part of a dynamic team, working together with experts in this field.

Which profile we are looking for

Educational background

Master in IT

Required seniority

1 to 2 years

Technical skills

Strong knowledge of Hyperledger Fabric and blockchain technology including smart contract coding
Knowledge on Docker containers management and on Virtualisation (VMWare, Virtual Box or equivalent )
Strong Coding experience (Java, Javascript, Web Interfaces,... )
Strong experience with Linux environment
Information Security Competences, any certification is an advantage (CISSP, CEH, CISM, ISO 27k,…)

Language skills
