The story so far

At HiCareer, weve spent years building, researching, and working hands-on with candidates and companies all to understand whats truly missing in the job market.

Were two co-founders based in Gothenburg, Sweden, driven to create a product that gives people clarity, structure, and support through every stage of career life. So we built a platform that helps individuals discover opportunities, organize their careers, and get the guidance they need every step of the way.

A career takes up 80,000+ hours almost half your waking life. We believe people deserve better tools to make the most of it. We believe in people. And we believe people should love their careers.

That belief has kept us building. And now, its starting to scale.

A few signs that things are moving

• Doubled our user base in 2 months now it's 100,000+ users
• From almost zero to hundreds of Premium subscribers in just a couple of weeks
• Highly promising growth and some of our most valuable features are still to come

What youll be working on

Youll work closely with us (Fredrik & Dejan) and take the lead on our AI product development.

Some examples:

• Improve our AI Career Assistant guiding users with the right advice, at the right time
• Generate smarter job suggestions and match insights using embeddings and preferences
• Build features that auto-generate tailored resumes, interview prep, and application feedback
• Work with structured and unstructured job data and enrich it through classification and automation
• Develop prompt flows, vector search, and the logic that makes everything feel intuitive
• Help shape our thinking on where AI creates value (and where it doesnt)

The stack

• OpenAI APIs (GPT-4, Assistants API)
• Embedding models + vector DBs (like Pinecone)
• Prompt engineering + eval tooling
• Python + Django
• DigitalOcean, Supabase, Zapier, Segment, Mixpanel

Youll have a big say in how this evolves we care more about how you think than what tool youve used.

Who we think you are

• Youve worked hands-on with OpenAI, LLMs, or similar tools in production
• Youve built and shipped AI-powered features, not just prototypes
• Youre pragmatic and care about what users actually need
• You think clearly about edge cases, UX, and how to make things feel smooth
• Youre excited to work on something thats growing fast and ready to make it grow smarter

How we work

• Remote-first (CET 3h)
• Async as default, with clear communication
• Weekly check-ins and focused sprints
• We use Slack and Notion to keep things simple and moving

What we offer

• Salary is modest for now, but will probably grow fast
• Equity options available we want you in this for the journey
• Prefer full-time but are open to part-time/project-based setup in the short-term
